It's because Americans work their asses off, barely make ends meet, and the government consistently gives their hard-earned tax dollars to foreign countries, foreign wars and foreigners the US Government has brought and allowed into America and nothing is giving to Americans. We have nearly 40 trillion in debt, unaffordable health care, unaffordable housing, and the dollar loses value every day.
