Over the course of the last 30 days, SEPTA has experienced four significant emergency events on their trolley system as a result, likely of the overhead catenary system, the wires that the cars themselves connect to in order to function. They [the emergency events] have resulted in some injury and evacuation of those vehicles. One week ago, the Federal Transit Administration, as a result of those incidents, issued an emergency action letter to SEPTA that requires them to conduct a complete inspection of the entire overhead catenary system to identify the extent of the problem.
