So when we took power here in Michigan, we governed like we give a damn. We repealed the tax on seniors, something that Governor Rick Snyder had put in place to tax seniors on a fixed income. We finally did something real about gun violence prevention. And as somebody who has lost a friend to gun violence, I cannot tell you how impossible that felt just a few years ago.
