So this has been the bulk of my work from my time in the state Senate is regionalizing our state's approach to economic development. But we are at the whims of what comes down to us from the federal level. The CHIPS act was a large pot of money that every state was competing to receive. And I was part of the Legislature that approved $260 million of taxpayer funds to prepare a site in Mundy Township, which is outside of Flint, for SanDisk facility that was going to onshore manufacturing.
