You know, to some folks that are here and they don't appreciate our country. But I found when I've been traveling as the Secretary of Education, Kids aren't taught in all schools to say the Pledge of Allegiance. They don't have any respect for our flag. They're not taught patriotism, let alone civics. In fact, only about 25% of 8th graders have any kind of appreciation of civics in our country. (01:32–01:36)
