On the legislative front, my Rural Jobs and Hydropower Expansion act advanced out of committee. I also introduced the Freedom from Taxes act to protect gun owners and reduce fees for law abiding Americans. Taxing our constitutional rights is unacceptable and unconstitutional. It's past time we put an end to it. I also successfully passed five amendments with unanimous bipartisan support to redirect $10 million to improve veterans benefits. (00:41–00:48)
