And I proudly voted to fully fund veterans health care and benefits for the FY2027 appropriations cuts. No delays. I stood with veterans on the Second Amendment by supporting the Veterans Second Amendment Protection act, ensuring no veteran loses their constitutional rights simply for having a fiduciary without a judicial finding of dangerousness. And I helped pass the Sherry Bailey and Eric Edmondson Veterans Benefits Expansion act of 2026, expanding compensation for catastrophically disabled veterans and delivering the first significant increase in decades due dependency and indemnity compensation for our Gold Star surviving spouses and families.
