My grandmother had copd, my mom had copd, and my mom and my grandmother's level of COPD was virtually the same. The unfortunate thing for my mother is that my grandmother was already elderly, so she was retired. My mom still has to get up and go to work every day with her COPD condition. And she works as a janitor, so she uses a lot of chemicals. She cleans a hospital, so it's really, really hard on her. But my mother was also an avid smoker. (01:03–01:10)
