She got her bachelor's in English at Brown University and her law degree from Northwestern. She then started her career working for the U.S. environmental Protection Agency, passionate about. Making sure that clean air and clean water is available to everyone. This work eventually brought her to Tucson in 2005 to teach environmental law at the University of Arizona.
