Not only is this settlement historic, but it demonstrates the hard work and commitment of my office for standing up to standing up for the rights of Texans against some of the world's biggest tech companies. The OAG's legal divisions raise substantially more revenue than they do they need to operate, providing a direct return of almost $3 for every dollar used to operate. That's almost $400 million per year on 150 million annual budget with greater than one fourth of the budget self funded by attorney's fees.
