We're here today as we approach the anniversary of September 11, a day that forever changed our nation from the grief from that day for some people has never left us. But over those 15 years, Westchester county and Volunteer New York have found ways to channel [9/11] grief into meaningful action by honoring those we have lost by helping others in their name. The 911 serve and remember Days of Service give us that opportunity. They remind us that even in the face of tragedy, we can choose unity, compassion and service to our neighbors. (01:33–01:45)
