And we've spread these all over the state. When I first became governor in 2021, gun crimes, you know, serious crimes, violent crimes, were literally off the charts. It was a frightening time. Gun violence had doubled, doubled since the pandemic in previous two years. And it wasn't just New York. It was part of a nationwide pandemic era surge of crimes involving firearms.
