It's a power that Congress needs to use to hold the executive BRANCH and the U.S. government accountable, even when the president is the president from our own party. I believe I was the first and perhaps the only Democratic member of Congress to issue a subpoena to a Biden administration official to compel their testimony on abuses and corruption in the federal prison system.
