When I spoke to Senator McCauley earlier today, I told him I was going to do this. So I said, as a senator, I want to return power from the federal government to the states. States are closer to the problems and can innovate better than the federal government, especially in education, workforce and social programs. so we can help more people experience the dignity of work and strengthen earning power of the middle class.
