The government funding legislation includes a number of other bipartisan bills which have have nearly unanimous support in both the House and the Senate, including a bill I introduced with our colleague Bob Menendez of New Jersey. This legislation will finally, after 25 years or more, establish a National Museum of the American Latino. that will improve Latino representation within the Smithsonian Institution. This museum will honor the contributions of Latinos throughout our nation's history and give their stories a brick and mortar home here in our nation's capital. (15:34–15:44)
