Hundreds of thousands of casualties on each side have arisen as a result of this three year cut war in Ukraine. But it's important that these negotiations get it right. It's true that a lasting peace would be no small achievement, but one of the most important aspects to getting this right is to make sure that it does not result in nuclear proliferation.
