So it's shocking to me that none of our Democratic colleagues are willing to vote with Republicans on this common sense piece of legislation. Furthermore, talk about disenfranchisement of voters is simply insulting. It's blatantly untrue. Americans need a government issued ID in order to drive a car, to buy a phone, to open a bank account, to buy a six pack of beer, to get on an airplane. and the list goes on. I have never heard a complaint from any one of my almost 32 million constituents about their inability to drive because of the onerous burden of getting a driver's license a photo id. (12:51–13:05)
