Like I said, there was no special education, so she wasn't allowed to be in school. So she fought to get her into nursery school in Montessori. And eventually, through my father's outreach [My father reached out] to the Attorney General of Wisconsin to come up with an opinion that said that all children in Wisconsin have a constitutional right to education, including special needs children. And that is what launched the first ever special ed grades in Wisconsin. So it was literally so very important to my family, and that's how I was raised. (06:58–07:11)
