Last year, we fought for the exact same thing to protect Native Hawaiian education programs, the housing block grant for Native Hawaiians, health program, all of these different things. They put in there some very damning language this time that states that Native Hawaiians are a racial group, not an indigenous people. They are indigenous. They are 100% indigenous. We have to protect this language. We have to protect this funding so that the federal government can recognize and understand they have an obligation, a trust obligation, a duty to support Native Hawaiians. (03:06–03:14)
