We need to address the future of our public education and rising property taxes. Many Vermonters are struggling to pay their bills, and at the same time, We have a duty to ensure kids have access to the resources and programs that define a high quality public education. Over the last biennium, we faced major emergencies and passed historic legislation to meet those challenges. The catastrophic flooding we've been experiencing year after year produce the Flood Safety act, which will greatly strengthen our defenses in wetlands, flood plains and river corridors. (00:34–00:42)
