I've been resoundingly reelected by Republicans in my district in my primary. My view on this is very clear and simple, is that This should be done at the legislative level so the people of Texas know and can see what we believe, where we stand and how we vote on this issue instead of being done via executive order or directed from the Secretary of State. So I think next session what you're going to see is a very thoughtful approach coming through leaders like Representative Shaheen and hopefully ultimately reaching the floor of the Texas House and Senate and to the governor's desk next session.
