And that was in East Texas, not urban Texas, that was in rural Texas where I was the elected party chair who was always behind the scenes making sure that I could help other candidates win elections. I helped Dallas county to have more African Americans on the bench than any other county in the entire country. So like, let me tell you, I have put in my work because I believe in the work.
