By definition, they only engage in that transaction if it's to their mutual benefit. So trade is wonderful, trade is great. Trade increases the prosperity of both parties. Tariffs are damaging... they raise the price of every product that's consumer facing by the amount of the tariff. It costs that much more. It's inflationary. But.
