In the Democratic Party, it just becomes a problem when that turns into pushing away people who are in the dominant group who could very much be in our coalition. There are, I think, so many people of faith, so many Christians in this state who sympathize with the Democratic Party on a whole host of issues. Immigration maybe being at the top of the list. And they are just. They're waiting for a candidate, a campaign that's not hostile to those values and who's willing to connect with them on these conversations of faith and spirituality.
