You know, a couple of months ago, one of my colleagues and mentors, the former speaker Melissa Herman, and her husband Mark, were assassinated in their home. My good friend John Hoffman and his wife Yvette were also shot at, but luckily survived in Minnesota. And so a lot of us who were on that list of that assassin have to live with the idea of knowing that we got lucky. But our friends were not so lucky. (11:50–12:02)
