Ep. 16. U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX-28): Congressman on the Border

Published | Video Starts at 09:39

Who has the power to enforce immigration law? It's the Border Patrol. It's not any state agency. It's a border Patrol. And I think 150 years have shown that the Supreme Court, through precedent, said it's the federal government that enforces that law. Otherwise, you would have 50, 50 states that will be 50 many countries enforcing their own immigration. So I would ask them to work with the federal government. (09:39–09:48)
