And the reality in the Senate is that a majority of senators, 47 Democrats and four Republicans support a straightforward extension of the Affordable Care act tax credits. Which means that the only thing standing in the way is that John Thune and Senate Republicans are hiding behind the filibuster to erect procedural hurdles. to prevent the bill from being voted on in an up or down way.
