Texas ranks number one in America for building more new homes than any other state. This is important because the increased supply of homes will help drive down the cost of housing. We enacted laws to make it easier and cheaper to build more homes as well as more apartments. And to say the least, part of housing affordability are the property taxes that Texans have to pay.
