After these homestead exemptions passed this past year, we, The state of Texas is going to be the ones responsible for fully funding our schools. And know this, as we did it this session, I signed the largest school funding award ever in the history of our state, more than $8 billion for our schools and the largest teacher pay raise ever, more than $4 billion to increase teacher pay.
