This legislation I'm about to sign with Senate Bill 8 accomplishes that. A second law that I'm going to sign is Senate Bill 36. Senate Bill 36 establishes the homeland Security Division within the Texas Department of Public Safety. It does multiple things. One thing that it does is it consolidates the Border Security Operations center and the Joint Operations and Intelligence center all within one operation at dps. (03:28–03:36)
