In March earlier this year, I created the Texas Jobs Council to build a growing number of high demand jobs in the state of Texas. I tasked the Texas Jobs Council with developing recommendations that could be implemented immediately through either executive or agency action. The Council worked with the Texas Workforce Commission, Texas Education Agency, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Department of Licensing and Regulation to develop a series of recommendations.
