The Texas Department of Transportation is prioritizing road repairs and rebuilding roadways to support these efforts to the fullest. I issued a disaster declaration for 59 counties and in addition to that, I issued a major disaster declaration request to the federal government seeking the federal government's assistance for 33 counties. including La Salle, DeWitt and McMullen counties statewide. Altogether, the state has provided more than 2,700 personnel, more than 1,400 vehicles, more than 22 boats, more than 20 aircraft, and altogether, the state has rescued more than five hundred and thirty people across our state.
