The modern environmental movement, you know, in so many ways, established in 1967, even three years before Earth Day, with the creation of the California Air Resources Board, Codified by a Republican by the name of Richard Nixon, another former Californian as president, by the creation of the Clean Air Act and the EPA and the Endangered Species Act. All that came out of that movement, all that came out of those leaders that passed that lantern on to others. And I'm just proud to be in that long line to. (29:05–29:18)
