The Saginaw VA Clinic reported shortage in internal medicine, psychiatry and geriatric providers, as well as primary care providers and social workers. The Iron Mountain VA Medical center reported shortages in anesthesiology, surgery, dermatology, psychiatry, psychology and social work. And The John D. Dingell VA Medical center in Detroit reported an even lengthier list of staffing shortages, including nurses, social workers, dietitians, nutritionists, occupational and physical therapists, podiatrists, in addition to a whole bunch of non-clinical roles. So I put out these lists and they're by no means exhaustive, but they certainly demonstrate that the overall staffing shortages across Michigan facilities and in fact, across Michigan there are 76 occupations that have been identified as severe shortage 76 occupations.
