We stand here today because of their unwavering courage and profound love of our country. This Memorial Day, I want to take a moment to honor the service members who have died this year, including the 14 service members have died in recent months during the war with Iran. As a former Lieutenant commander in the US Navy Reserve, I served in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, places where right now our service members are at a heightened risk because of this operation.
