And public safety fails when people are too scared to call 911 to send their kids to school, to go to court, to go to the grocery stores. And authoritarianism targets the most vulnerable. So We cannot normalize the Trump raids detention camps. We have to do everything we can to uphold democracy, due process, and real safety. And this package that my colleagues in the Socialist Caucus and I introduced back in August would help us do that. (00:32–00:38)
