Military families have long dealt with terrible living conditions in housing that is owned by private military contractors. But those Private companies have muzzled families by forcing them to sign non disclosure agreements to get compensation for the damages that they have suffered. I appreciate that One of the Department's legislative proposals for this year's NDAA would be to make clear that tenants are protected from reprisals for reporting dangerous and disgusting housing conditions to an inspector general, to Congress or to the Department of Defense.
