One thing I think about almost daily is restoring the expanded Child Tax Credit and Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit so parents can afford to work and provide for their families. The Child Tax Credit was the single most effective thing we've done to reduce child poverty and address systemic poverty. And in the Senate, I'm going to fight to make it permanent. One of the other things I feel really passionately about that's a big picture thing, is bringing the concept of equity into the spending of federal dollars. (03:36–03:45)
