People ate this parasite on the lettuce leaf and got very sick. Michigan is unfortunately the epicenter of this outbreak. Over 11,000 Michiganders have gotten this [cyclosporiasis] parasite. It causes major stomach discomfort, major stomach issues, and needs to be treated. Unfortunately, we've had two Michiganders pass away from this parasite. They had underlying health conditions, but still, this is a very serious thing. (03:43)
