If the speaker of the House is just going to do whatever the president says in a separate branch of government, no matter whether it's right or wrong or whether it upholds our democratic values or not, then he has some lessons to take from grand jury members, from peaceful protesters, from people who understand the values of the country. and the way that some of our colleagues have ceded their leadership as a separate branch of government.
