And our country has unfortunately grown too reliant on China and Chinese companies when it comes to lidar. This bill makes it clear that our Department of Transportation is not going to be using federal funds to procure technology that would give that millimeter level data on our country's critical infrastructure to companies that are affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party. And so here we are with a bill that does right by investing in tribal infrastructure, does right by investing in rural infrastructure, does right by investing in our nation's infrastructure assets.
