We need to do more and we need to do it now. That is why I've worked with Senator Lindsey Graham and others to introduce a bill that would sunset section 230 in two years. Section 230 and the legal immunity it provides. Big tech became law 30 years ago, long before the social media became a part of our daily lives. To the extent this protection was ever needed, its usefulness has long since passed. Sunsetting section 230 could force big Tech to the table to negotiate real reform that provides real accountability. (01:52–02:02)
