It really is terrible that both the assembly and the Senate have decided not to work anymore because we really do need to pass some meaningful legislation. Talk about meaningful legislation. What comes to mind? Well, The first three bills Senate Democrats put out at the beginning of the session were healthy meals for healthy schools, making sure every kid got a free healthy meal at lunchtime. We also had another bill for less for Rx to help people with prescription drug costs. Finally, Homestead tax credit, making sure people can afford to stay in their homes. (00:38–00:47)
