“And I would hope we would really take back these issues in a bipartisan way because it's really important that we move forward on healthcare policy, not stay frozen and certainly not make it a partisan fight. At the end of the last Congress, I developed Cures 2.1, advancing the goals of 21st century cures with then Congressman Larry Bouchon. And Congressman Bouchon, of course, he retired, but we put together a white paper before he left. And I've been working on recruiting a Republican co sponsor.
