As I've often said in the subcommittee, we operate in a nonpartisan way and I'm very proud of my Republican and Democrat colleagues for staying or for continuing to do so. We have 13 important legislative proposals to consider here today. and not all the proposals will move forward in this process. Unfortunately, the purpose of this hearing is to hear from folks with expertise on assisting veterans about the benefits of shortcomings the various pieces of legislation. (00:23–00:28)
