Former Gov. David Paterson speaks out after being attacked on UES with son

Published | Video Starts at 06:04

We just came around the corner, we saw them and that prompted their screaming at us. A better course might have been to have turned around and come back this way. But that's not the first time. That part of Second Avenue, right on 96th street is also the scene across the street on the southern part of second Avenue of a beating of a man who was trying to protect his 16 year old daughter who was disabled. He was beaten unmercifully by six high school kids. Three of Them were girls, and that happened right here. And that family is still trying to get justice for the two victims, himself and the daughter. (06:04–06:21)
