One solution is to ensure that Election officials [in California's Contra Costa County] have access to professional rapid response communications. When a disinformation campaign threatened to engulf election officials in California's Contra Costa County, Deputy County Clerk Recorder Tommy Gong enlisted pro bono communications assistance through the Election Officials Legal Defense Network, managed by my nonprofit, the center for Election Innovation and Research.
