Thank you, Mr. President. Colleagues, this resolution is to declare the month of April Autism Acceptance Month in Michigan. The month of April has long been recognized by the autism community advocates and supporters as Autism Awareness Month. Today, the autism community and its advocates are encouraging a shift in the language to reflect the growing need not just for awareness, but for society's acceptance of those with autism.
