And maybe, just maybe, your state government would reduce taxes so there wouldn't be a surplus. I don't know if that could happen with a divided government. The state of Wisconsin is not going broke. Wisconsin still has $2.1 billion in a rainy day fund, an insurance policy, if you will, sitting untouched as a backstop should the economy take a turn for the worse.
