But as I said before, we have a divided government. So negotiations happened, a deal was struck and we went to vote. The assembly passed the deal with 32 Democrats voting against it. In the Senate I voted in favor of the bill, but all Senate Democrats and three Republicans voted against it and the bill failed. It was beyond frustrating. It's amazing to me that every single Senate Democrat voted against more money for schools and putting money back into the pockets of hard working Wisconsinites. (01:44–01:54)
